Lights, camera…action! Let’s make a movie (short)! Using the unique language of filmmaking to develop a story in your favorite genre, we’ll start by writing mini-screenplays that will be our filming roadmap. Then we’ll get behind the lens to learn camera techniques, editing and tips of the trade from the award-winning director, Assal Ghawami. We’ll work together in small film crews, readying our masterpieces for screening at the P.S./I.S. 187 Film Festival.

Please note, students must have received at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine prior to the start date. We are following state and federal guidelines for COVID-19. All of our teachers are vaccinated. Masks are no longer required for outside classes, and are no longer required when in our classrooms, but are mandatory in common areas of the Cornerstone Center.
