FAQ
Please visit our workshops page for detailed workshop descriptions and links to register.
Full tuition for our 10-week workshops is $600. However, we are dedicated to keeping our program accessible to any student who is interested in participating, and offer a pay-what-you-can tuition option for every workshop. We never ask for proof of need, we only ask that families can pay the most they can afford. You will see the option to fill in the amount you would like to pay on the registration form. If you have any questions, please email register@uptownstories.org.
No. Uptown Stories is not a free program. In order to keep our workshops accessible to the entire community, our tuition is pay-what-you can. We never ask for proof of need, we only ask that families pay the most that they can afford. If you are unable to pay full tuition, please consider the most you can afford before choosing your tuition payment.

If your child is registered for a workshop and unable to attend, and it is more than 48 hours before the first class, we will either credit you the full amount paid towards a future workshop, or refund 50% of the amount paid. If it is less than 48 hours before the first class, we will issue you a credit for the amount paid towards a future workshop.
For first-time students only: If your child attends the first class of the workshop they are registered for and doesn’t want to return, we will issue a full credit for a future workshop or refund the total amount paid. No refund will be issued after the first class.
